API my_snapchat
THE PROJECT
As part of a school project, I designed and maintained a backend API enabling students to reproduce key features of the Snapchat application.
THE CHALLENGE
The project started from an existing API that needed to be rebuilt to handle more load, with faster and lighter responses.
The main challenges were optimizing routes, reducing API response sizes, and adding secure authentication through Office 365.
THE TECHNICAL SOLUTION
I chose to rewrite the technical stack entirely, and added new features such as friend management.
A second API, connected to the same database, was also developed to provide dedicated tools and a view for the teaching team.
