API my_snapchat
THE PROJECT
As part of a school project, I designed and maintained a backend API enabling students to reproduce key features of the Snapchat application.
THE CHALLENGE
The project was initially based on an existing API that needed to be rebuilt and improved to make it more robust, performant, and scalable.
The main challenges focused on optimizing routes, reducing API response sizes, and implementing a secure authentication system via Office 365, ensuring controlled and reliable access.
THE TECHNICAL SOLUTION
I chose to perform a complete technical stack overhaul, integrating new features such as friend management.
A second API, connected to the same database, was also developed to provide dedicated tools and a view for the teaching team.
